Ukraine should not have pushed for NATO membership with common border with bigger neighbor. Mexico is more smart than Ukraine. Mexico never try to join Soviets.

Nato rejected Ukraine membership. One Big reason was that Ukraine was already in conflict with Russia in 2014 when Russia invaded Crimea. So there was no need to invade again in 2022
