There's no doubt that things can get physical in the WNBA, and Caitlin Clark can be the first one to attest to that. In her rookie season with the Indiana Fever, she's hit the floor several times, and some have come as flagrant fouls against the opposing teams. An interesting stat came up on a Caitlin Clark stats page on X, formerly Twitter, that could shock some people who watch her.
“Interesting stat: 17% of the WNBA’s flagrant fouls this season have been committed against Caitlin Clark. The Chicago Sky were responsible for 80% of the flagrants committed against Clark,” the Clark Report page tweeted.
To add to the stats, Sporting News reporter Steph Noh made a clip of the flagrant fouls that were committed against Clark, and most of them have come against playing the Sky.
The Fever and the Sky games are always physical, and it looks like Clark takes most of the hits. In their latest matchup, the Sky were assessed two flagrant fouls, and both came against Clark. Of course, these games get the most attention because of the battle between Clark and Angel Reese, but they have also become bigger because both are in the playoff picture and trying to win each and every night.
The latest flagrant foul committed against Caitlin Clark came when Chicago Sky's Diamond DeShields committed a hard foul that made the Indiana Fever hit the floor. After Clark hit the floor, DeShields tried to help her up, but she immediately got up and went to the other side of the court, and the foul was later upgraded to a flagrant 1.
Earlier this season, Clark took a hard foul against Chennedy Carter when the two teams faced each other.

She gets whacked because she is good. She gets whacked because she is a rookie. She gets whacked because she frustrates the other teams. She gets whacked because she beats the other players to the inside.
Her being white seems to just be a bonus.
Larry didn’t need help. He was scrappy enough to take care of himself. And Larry was one of the best trash talkers in the game. When he got whacked…he likely had it coming. And he turned around and scored 40 on the guy who did it.
I worked for the Hall of Fame in Springfield. I’ve been around ALL of the greats. Larry just seems to be “done” with all of the adulation. One on one, he seems like a decent enough guy. Put him in a room with the press or fans? He is as jerk. Based on how I’ve seen fans try to swarm him…I can understand it.
In my experience…the best guy I worked with: Rodman.
All of the Clark merch sells out before it is on the stands and she is shooting at record rates, but since she ain't a sista, the hoes gonna bang her around.
How stupid are they?
Cut open the goose to get the golden eggs.
Talk about racism, oh, I forgot, if you black you can't be a rassissssss.
I was beginning to take an interest in the WNBA. I’ve seen enough videos of black on white violence, that I won’t watch the games anymore only to see more of it.
I get that but CC is the female version of Micahel Jordan. Just my opinion though.
++++++++++
And the Chi-congo Sky is to Caitlin what the Detroit Pistons was to MJ. Until Jordan got that monkey off his back and the rest is history.
I don't give a fat rat's ass about the wnba but I am interested on the impact that one woman can have on an entire league.
Clark is so transformative that the women now fly private instead of public air lines and the entire league ratings both TV and live audience are way up.
Indiana has sellout crowds at 17K and NY only gets 12K {unless Clark is on the floor}.
The regular wnba player should throw flowers at Clark, not elbows, but ghetto rats have never been known for their brains.
They hate the fact that a straight, white woman has changed the wnba and while they all make more money, they resent the hell out of her.
Stupid is as stupid does.
The WNBA play a breakout style common in the NBA....GHETTO BALL.
