Shot in the waist.

I wonder if that was deliberate. Are perps armoring up? Are victims trying to hit the pelvis?

Shooting an assailant in the pelvis is useful because your chances are good of hitting bones; this can immobilize pretty much anyone.

Interesting point.

I suspect it just happened to be where the gun was pointed in a state of panic. When confronted by armed people in what could be a life or death situation a person does not have the time to calmly take a good Weaver stance and do a perfect target range aim.

I’d say he did quite well. But then again a waist shot is not a bad idea as the perps could have had body armor on.

I’m thinking at close range, from a pocket draw, he fired quickly at the first, thinking about getting that second shot off on the second dirtbag.
Pretty sure that’s what I would have done. No time to aim, just draw and fire, fire, fire. (9 times, if necessary)
