No one’s arguing with that. And it is Texas
It’s the FBI virus: Once they answer the question, they’ll move on to trying to figure the robbers’ motive.
Pretty brazen to take on a Texan.
Not mentioned in the article - or anywhere else for that matter - is the presumption that the perps are of a protected class. The tells are all there...
Additionally, the likelihood of the 2 being not prosecuted under soros’ da gonzalez is fairly high (see https://www.kens5.com/article/news/local/law-enforcement/former-bexar-county-da-weighs-in-back-and-forth-between-sapd-chief-and-district-attorney/273-db137376-f093-4e9e-8805-f3f74e87eea1 and https://www.ksat.com/news/ksat-investigates/2024/02/15/da-joe-gonzales-attempting-to-block-release-of-communications-with-dc-law-firm-recommended-by-wren-collective/)...unless gonzalez is finally feeling the heat.
From a different source (one was shot in the head):
“UPDATE (9 a.m.):
San Antonio police said the two men who were shot were attempting to rob another man, 34, before the shooting. “After an investigation was conducted, it was determined that the two shooting suspects were armed and had attempted to rob the victim,” SAPD said.
As they approached the 34-year-old man, police said he took out a handgun and defended himself “firing at the suspects.” The shooting remains under investigation.
Original story:
San Antonio Police Department officials are investigating a shooting that ended in two men being taken to the hospital.
At about 3:51 a.m. early Sunday morning, August 25, a San Antonio Police Department preliminary report says officials responded to a call for a shooting at the 200 block of Ranch Valley.
When officers arrived on-scene, they found a 23-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his head. He was taken to the hospital by Emergency Medical Services in critical condition, according to the San Antonio Police Department. During the investigation, officials were told another man was taken to the hospital and found to have a gunshot wound to the hip that was connected to the shooting, SAPD said. “
People got away from revolvers in favor of high capacity magazines. The old .38/.357 pistols didnt leave a lot of injured perps. A through shot with a .357 is usually a terminal injury. 9mm? Not so much.
The author(s) of this article seem obsessed with the intended victim’s age.
Cops don’t like when citizens do their jobs. Every DA wants to make examples of people defending themselves from their beloved criminals.
Interesting point.
I suspect it just happened to be where the gun was pointed in a state of panic. When confronted by armed people in what could be a life or death situation a person does not have the time to calmly take a good Weaver stance and do a perfect target range aim.
I’d say he did quite well. But then again a waist shot is not a bad idea as the perps could have had body armor on.
The article is devoid of detail...caliber, number of shots fired. A perp wearing armor might have been hit several times, but only injured by a hit in an unarmored area. That said...threat ended, victim OK. The goal in any self-defense event. Then, cross your fingers that a DA doesn’t try to make an example of you for daring to not be a victim.
Why do you need to know? Is it illegal to be out at that time?
If it is maybe you and the nanny police should come and get me, I was up at that time too. And it’s really none of your business what I was doing and where I was going
How’d ya’ll feel if/when you find out the ‘self-defending citizen’ was perhaps a drug dealer, and these were a couple of rivals trying to rip him off?
It’s a thought.
Awesome....he’s a HERO ..... and we need lots more like that! ...imho
I’m thinking at close range, from a pocket draw, he fired quickly at the first, thinking about getting that second shot off on the second dirtbag.
Pretty sure that’s what I would have done. No time to aim, just draw and fire, fire, fire. (9 times, if necessary)
A perforated bowel will give the perp lots of time to reflect on his career choices.
I would blame it on atrocious writing. Seeing so much garbage now passed off as journalism.
I think it’s even simpler. One team had the dope, one team had the money, and one (or both) team(s) wanted both.
The principle is the same.
