Meanwhile thousands of Americans are allowed to rot in the street addicted to drugs smuggled in by foreign agents.
But oh no, a millionaire Hollywood actor was being exploited.

“Allowed” to rot? You know little about drug and alcohol abuse. That’s their choice. The sewers of America perfectly allow these degenerates to live in the lifestyle that allows them to stay drunk/stoned. They love it.

A civilized society would force them off the streets and into involuntary recovery centers rather than letting them rot on streets while committing crimes and harassing citizens.
Agreed. If someone collapsed and fell unconscious in the street, EMTs would take that person to a hospital.
No one would ask permission first: “May we save you? May we take you to a hospital?”
If someone were standing on a ledge, ready to jump, rescue workers would stop that person from committing suicide.
If someone were a public nuisance causing a disturbance, police would arrest that person.
Yet, every day, people with drug addictions are free to do all those things in the streets, and no one is stopping them.
