I learned a long time ago that people will do to us, what we let them get away with. If he was being exploited, he allowed it to happen to himself. Life-style choices will usually get you in the end.

I have no idea who this man was, his views, or his beliefs. However it is sad his addictions led to his untimely death. He was a fellow child of God like all of us and being a hollyweird actor was surrounded by evil that he obviously could not defeat.
