How exactly are the two mutually exclusive?
Conspiracies give you an excuse to fail. Which gives you an excuse not to try. And never make the shots you don’t take.
The only problem with conspiracy theories is, which conspiracy. All the people who do believe in conspiracies think they’re being perpetrated by their ideological and/or theological boogie men. Right-wingers think it’s left-wingers. Left-wingers think it’s right-wingers. Protestants think it’s Jesuits. Catholics think it’s Free Masons. Socialists think it’s capitalistic Jews. Nazis think it’s socialistic Jews. Capitalists who are not communists themselves think it’s communists. Muslims think it’s everyone who isn’t a Muslim, but especially Jews. Israel-loving Jews think it’s Iran. Leftard Jews think it’s J6ers and Trump. Putin and Xi Jingpig are up to something, but nobody’s sure what. Everyone’s favorite culprit these days is WEF and George Soros.
So which conspiracy is the real conspiracy? Part of the conspiracy is to obfuscate that question.
Reminds me of an old song.

Correct-— PLEASE CLARIFY
“How exactly are the two mutually exclusive?”
Good question. Successful people don’t re-define the word ‘conspiracy’ to mean ‘any interpretation of events I don’t like’
