Satan appears as an Angel of light.

I believe we’re told this for the very reason of these kinds of events and with modern medical procedures pulling people back from what had in times past been a certain outcome.

The generic ‘everything is love’ message always starts out not dissimilar but often with additional time the encounter becomes agitated and more abrasive.

“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.” 1 John 4:1-3

I definitely agree with you. I don't understand why people who have NDEs believe every spirit they encounter. Such belief is very naive.

He sure does appear to some that way- which is why I suspect highly thst some people who have nde’s are seeing not God, but Satan or demons disguised as light/god- I also believe that the “light at the end of the tunnel” they experience is a psychological issue common to people who are in the process of dying (not all, but some folks) as the brain fights to keep alive- its Lso possible that it is a defensive mechanism to help with passing on that is common all over the world.

Not all nde’s can be explained this way, but I think perhaps a great many can be. But the fact remains that it is “real” to the person who experiences it, and it can profoundly change a person, BUT it can also keep unsaved people in darkness, thinking that they have an in with God and that they don’t have to accept Jesus as savior because they are special because of the exp3rience that they had “with a being of light”
