Thought this might be worthy of its own thread.
There are also people who go to Hell in NDE. Look those up if you want to see some interesting experiences
I get up and read the obits. IF I am not in there I go ahead and do stuff.
I’m glad you posted the thread. I’ve watched a lot of these NDE stories and the main question I’ve always had is why so many different versions of what heaven looks like? It seems to me that Heaven is Heaven and it should look the same to everyone.
After much reflection and philosofying my theory is that in a near death experience you aren’t really dead in the final sense.
Most likely Heaven is so beyond what our minds can perceive that if were suddenly shown it we would be overwhelmed. So Perhaps during these NDEs God gives us a preview using things our minds can readily accept and each person has a different perception.
When we actually die we will get to see the real deal and I doubt we will be floating around in a light orb or walking around endlessly in a field of flowers. đ
Sounds like a laundry list of things they want to experience.
“We’re Not Worthy!”
This might interest some FReepers. I used to have this book but probably gave it away. Fascinating. $11.

Life After Life: The Bestselling Original Investigation That Revealed “Near-Death Experiences”
âIt is research like Dr. Moody presents in his book that will enlighten many and will confirm what we have been taught for two thousand years - that there is life after death.â âElisabeth Kubler-Ross, M.D., author of On Death and Dying
The groundbreaking, bestselling classic, now available in a special fortieth-anniversary edition that includes a new Foreword from Eben Alexander, M.D., author of Proof of Heaven, and a new Afterword by the author.
Raymond Moody is the âfatherâ of the modern NDE (Near Death Experience) movement, and his pioneering work Life After Life transformed the world, revolutionizing the way we think about death and what lies beyond. Originally published in 1975, it is the groundbreaking study of one hundred people who experienced âclinical deathâ and were revived, and who tell, in their own words, what lies beyond death.
A smash bestseller that has sold more than thirteen million copies around the globe, Life After Life introduced us to conceptsâincluding the bright light, the tunnel, the presence of loved ones waiting on the other sideâthat have become cultural memes today, and paved the way for modern bestsellers by Eben Alexander, Todd Burpo, Mary Neal, and Betty Eadie that have shaped countless readers notions about the end life and the meaning of death.
