Terrified dictator Alexander Lukashenko has urged Russia and Ukraine to agree a peace deal to avoid the war spilling over into Belarus.
President Lukashenko, a key ally of Vladimir Putin, said he fears Kyiv's troops are now planning an incursion into his nation after they launched a cross-border offensive in Russia.
Thousands of Ukrainian soldiers smashed through Russia's western border on August 6 in a major embarrassment for Putin's top military brass.
Now in an interview with Russia state television, Lukashenko has said that only 'high-ranking people of American origin' wanted the Ukraine-Russia war to continue.
The West, he said, was encouraging Kyiv to fight because it wants Ukraine and Russia to 'destroy each other'.
Russia pledged on Thursday to beef up its border defences as hundreds of thousands of people were ordered to evacuate the western Kursk region.
Kyiv said its forces have advanced 22 miles into Russia since last week and continue to gain ground.
Lukashenko suggested in the interview, without providing evidence, that Kyiv could have plans to attack Belarus and Minsk would not allow Ukrainian troops to 'trample on our country'.

Ukraine would be crazy to to act as the stooge for NATP by attacking Belarus. Russia gas joint defenses and nukes.
I can imagine a scenario where NATO attacks Belarus and a whole bucnch of military concentrations on their border gets nuked ending any NATO designs on Russia thru Ukraine.

Where’s Putin? MIA for 3 days…
Simple. The people saying that were stupid at best, lying at worst.
How many times has the same sources and same posters claimed that Ukraine had “completely collapsed” and “completely destroyed” with “nothing left”? That can’t really happen multiple times in 2 years. But the same people posted these obviously contradictory articles that could not have possibly been true and presented them as factual...difficult to believe they did not know that they weren’t, since they were contradicting their own posts...but perhaps some of them are indeed that clueless.
I also don’t believe things are going as well for Ukraine or is as bad for Russia as is currently being presented either...that information is just as suspect...witness the number of times Putin has been said to be dead or incapacitated over the last two years. You can’t do that multiple times either.
Where were assigned SS during the attempted assassination of President Trump?
Delivering bags of US Taxpayer Cash to Homo Nazi Grifter, Deep Swamp Asset, Zelensky.
Too bad that Lukashenko already shipped ( at Putin’s request ) most of his army’s heavy armor to Russia.
Very Sad.
that would just make it all the easier for the Kremlin to move troops in

The point is that Russia has no troops to move in.

I agree. He is worried that his letting Russian troops use Belarus as a jumping off point at the start of the war will boomerang on him. His concerns about a Ukrainian incursion affecting the stability of his regime are legitimate, as he is not on solid ground now. The people in Belarus mostly want no part of the war.
Lol Good one.
The southern part of Bryansk Oblast is difficult for Russian to defend due to lack of bridges. I’m told it may be easy for the Ukrainians to take and hold that area, and from there it’s an easy trip into Belarus (because there are minimal defense fortifications between Russia and Belarus).
