For me, the chances are pretty much zero given I’ve been married to the same man since age 17.

The reason we are seeing front page articles with the mpox scare headlines is so that about mid-September, Democrats can call for mail-in balloting for the election.

For Democrats, I can understand their concern since the chances are not zero that one of them would be sharing needles & doing drugs and having sex in the voting line. But for the rest of us, I believe we will be fine.

The earlier outbreak was mainly spread via sexual contacts, but Clade I can be transmitted more easily through other contact routes, mainly by close contacts within households and often involving children.

Also, I read last night that MPOX is only 0.04% fatal (COVID was 0.06% from that same reading).
