A woman who was caught on video repeatedly ramming her car into a California taco restaurant was allegedly a former employee who had not worked at the eatery for four years, according to the owner’s daughter.
The incident happened at Tacos Reyes in Canoga Park around 7:30 p.m. Friday, ABC 7 reported.
Bystanders who witnessed the chaos began filming as others rushed over to police officers nearby to alert them.
As police officers arrived on the scene, they witnessed the suspect repeatedly backing into the establishment and ramming into it, according to the outlet.
They then surrounded her vehicle and used non-lethal rounds before pulling her out of the car and arresting her.
The suspect had allegedly destroyed everything inside the restaurant before she was taken into custody, according to the outlet.
She was hospitalized with minor injuries and later charged with felony vandalism.
No other injuries were reported.
An employee of the bar next door to the taco joint recalled the moment she had to rush customers and co-workers out of the building since they “share a wall” with the restaurant.
“She just was reversing and slamming into all the different walls,” Bailey Thompson told ABC 7. “So we share a wall with them, so she started slamming into our wall.”
A day later, the restaurant’s owner’s daughter, Antonia Reyes, told ABC 7 that the woman was a former employee and said she was shocked by what happened.
“Even when she left four years ago, it wasn’t on bad terms. It was on really good terms,” Reyes told the outlet.
“Her mom still works with us. She’s been working with us … maybe 8 plus years.”

Hot and crazy?
She got axed so this was payback..need anymore proof that LA is a total sh*thole I doubt she serves one day in jail
Maybe she wanted a drive thru?
And the color was?????
Lol
So. No name and no clear picture. Quit the place 4 years ago so maybe not a minor. Then why isn’t there a name or booking photo? hmmm...
The assailant was a former employee of the taco shop, as mentioned by the owner of Taco Reyes to KTLA. This angle is further substantiated by information from CBS Los Angeles, which indicates this act followed a prior vandalism incident involving one of Taco Reyes’s catering trucks.
The woman faced arrest for that preceding altercation and was held for two days before being released.
I think we all know the answer to that one.
It’s getting dangerously close to #noneedtolook
It’s them again, Yogi.
It sure is.
Amish again?
Bet her mom will need to find a new job if the place ever reopens. Probably both are illegals, especially since not identified.
I can’t believe people go to restaurants to buy tacos. They’re easy as hell to make and every taco tastes the same. It’s dumb not to make them at home. It’s a hell of a lot cheaper.
I’m thinking since the place is destroyed mom is out of work.
The tacos at Taco Bell aren’t the same as the ones at Abelardos. They don’t all taste the same.
“I’m thinking since the place is destroyed mom is out of work.”
Yes, I thought of that, too. Maybe mom was the actual target.
Oh god, I never thought of that!
This is exactly why Orange County wants a wall built along the border with LA County.
