CNN was just handed a slew of legal defeats in the $1 billion defamation case against them. On Monday, Judge William Scott Henry of Florida’s 14th Circuit Court sided with Plaintiff and Navy veteran Zachary Young on multiple motions against CNN, including compelling them to turn over their journalistic conduct guidelines, compelling them to comply with turning over documents necessary for financial discovery, and - much to the chagrin of CNN’s counsel - a deposition of anchor Jake Tapper.

Judge Henry came down hard on CNN’s effort to keep Tapper from being deposed. When issuing his ruling, the Judge seemingly suggested Tapper was being untruthful. “I kind of have a hard time believing what Mr. Tapper put in that declaration,” he said, referencing Tapper's stated lack of knowledge.

One moment of fog over a lifetime of deceptive bull$hittery.
Fake Fapper is one of the biggest liars in The Gaslight Media.
Any words that drool out of his bloody gob are presumptively false and deceptive.
I read this article and I could see anywhere what the actual case is about. Anyone know?
In June, Florida judges ruled Zachary Young and his company Nemex Enterprises Inc. offered enough evidence to move forward in a defamation suit against CNN. Young alleged that the network smeared his security consulting company by implying it illegally profited when helping people flee Afghanistan, using the terms “black market,” “exploit” and “exorbitant” to paint him as a bad actor preying upon desperate people.
Zachary Young’s company provided evacuation services to people fleeing Afghanistan when they were not evacuated by the US. CNN basically smeared him and his company.
Young sued CNN for defamation per se, defamation by implication, and trade libel, arguing CNN destroyed his reputation and business by branding him an illegal profiteer who exploited desperate Afghans. Specifically, Young alleged CNN repeatedly accused him of operating in a “black market” and mischaracterized his work as exploitative because he charged “exorbitant” fees Afghan citizens could not pay. Young claimed he was particularly harmed because he was the only private evacuator profiled in the reporting.

thanks to both of you. I get the feeling a bankruptcy filing by CNN is imminent. They’re already sucking wind so I’m sure this will push them over the edge.
I wouldn’t mind seeing CNN go under but I doubt it will really happen any time soon, if ever. Even Stephen Colbert’s audience burst out laughing when he told his guest, Caitlin Collins, that CNN was objective.
This sounds good.
It is highly likely that CNN was “winging it” and the plaintiff is going to clean their clock.
Lots of unfavorable information on the lefties. New revelations coming at the public like snipper fire.
we’ll see. the stock is not doing all that well and the parent just took a $9b write off. cnn is also looking at just going on line since viewership is way down
