This is one area that drives me nuts about liberals. They don’t have the brains to figure out how deadly their belief system is until they suffer the consequences of their beliefs. Then, and only then, do they change their minds. Meanwhile, nonliberals are stuck with the task of repairing the damage of liberalism.

Both the economic and social policies of liberals lead to the abandonment of cities by families. Left leaning cities place more restrictions on building housing and make the landlord's ability to make a profit difficult. The result is fewer rental units and the law of supply and demand drives rents higher. Failure to punish criminals makes cities less safe. Liberal cities tend to prosecute people who defend themselves more vigorously than they do the actual criminals. Even aside from glorifying sexual perversion and promoting hatred of whites and Christians, the poor quality of urban school districts discourages parents from sending their children there. Liberals with high six figure incomes or better can afford private schools where the educational standards are better and the students are reasonably safe.

Places like San Francisco, Seattle, and Minneapolis are anarcho-tyrannies, where violent crime and theft are mostly unpunished even as bureaucrats harass small businesses, drivers, and homeowners with petty violations.
