ROMULUS, MI — A video depicting a crowd of 15,000+ fans cheering Kamala Harris at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport appears to have been filmed from within a popular life simulation video game from Electronic Arts called The Sims.
Jaggy and clipping textures are seen in several areas of the video, which conspiracy theorists have highlighted in several YouTube videos and posts on X, formerly Twitter.
Trump repeated the claim in a post on Truth Social:
"Has anyone notice that Kamala CHEATED at the airport? All those people with the dead eyes and the looping animations. They're sims! The repeated textures and stilted animation were a dead give away! And the airport wasn't even real. It was a custom level. You can tell because it was built on a grid and there's no curves. She 'modded' The Sims so she could look popular! She's a CHEATER. You can't even get that many sims in one location or the game would crash. She 'modded' the game so she could fit in thousands of Sims. But really it was just hundreds. Can't even fake a crowd bigger than mine. I have so many people in one space it looks like a screenshot from Dynasty Warriors.
She's a CHEATER! The way she talks is a dead giveaway. Have you ever heard her speak English? It's all Simlish! She should be disqualified for SPEAKING SIMLISH! And you know she used the money code instead of giving her sim an actual job. She won't spend time maxing her stats to get them promoted. She's terrible at life and terrible at the sims. Anyone who will cheat at The Sims will cheat at ANYTHING!"
