A major liberal media outlet published a piece calling on journalists to ask Vice President Kamala Harris questions about her policies ahead of the election so that voters know who she really is.
The New Yorker staff writer Jay Caspian King wrote about Harris’ campaign strategy on Thursday, saying it involves her staying away from the press and waiting for former President Trump to make a mistake. However, he argued that it is the media’s job not to let the Democratic candidate get away with hiding prior to potentially assuming the most powerful office in the world.
He wrote that "it’s the job of the press in a healthy democracy to make sure that voters know whom they’re supporting. An unexamined candidate can become anything, and can work under the influence of anyone, when they assume power."
King agreed with GOP vice presidential candidate JD Vance’s assessment that she has been dodging the media. Harris took questions briefly from reporters on Thursday in an informal Q&A on a tarmac in Michigan, but she has not held a formal presser or sit-down interview since emerging last month as the presumptive Democratic nominee in place of President Biden.
"This appears to be Campaign Kamala’s strategy: don’t make any unforced errors, keep things vanilla, and eventually Trump or Vance will implode. Harris – as Vance has repeatedly pointed out on Twitter, with the hashtag #wheresKamala – has taken almost no questions from reporters, and has spent most of her time giving stump speeches at rallies."
The writer continued, pointing out Harris' flip-flopping and lack of transparency on key issues. "She has not explained what, exactly, happened in Washington after President Joe Biden’s disastrous debate; or why she has changed her mind on fracking, which she once said should be banned, and has wobbled...

Ministry of Truth has other ideas.
They’re pimpin’ for her. They aren’t going to put her dumb, salad ass in a wringer.
When the New Yorker has concerns, you know you messed up a bit.
I only have one question??
Would you encourage young women to follow in your footsteps to enhance and boost their career?
Ad Money rules the media. No questions, no votes for Kamala.
The media feels its job is to get Kamala elected. If that means not asking her questions, they won’t ask her questions. There are a few journalists who are exceptions, but by and large the media is the propaganda arm of the Democrat party.
Are we ready to admit that the “Democracy is great” ship has sailed?
In the absence of her answering specific questions it may be said that she will do tomorrow what she he’s done in the past.
Wow! Good for him. An actual journalist?
It’s Kang, not King.
Never count on your opponent to make a mistake that will somehow give you an advantage in any encounter. That strategy means the party of the first part must perform flawlessly, making no errors, to gain anything from the engagement.
That is e-gre-gi-ous. And quite possibly fatal as well.
“We were all about two sheets to the wind and someone said, “Who can tell the best short joke?” When my turn came, I said, “Let’s ask Vice President Kamala Harris questions about her policies ahead of the election so that voters know who she really is!” I won hands down.”
Looking at the internals of the new swing state polls in The NY Times no they are not imploding at all. They had to use a Biden Voter +6 model to generate any kind of lead for Harris and she’s still behind in Michigan.
The honeymoon is kinda over with her have to get by the convention now and then it’s a fight to the finish.
“Questions are a burden to others; answers, a prison for oneself.” Just relax. The State will tell you what to believe.
LOL - the job of the press? More like it is to cover up and suppress anything negative for the Democrats - unless doing so actually is designed to help the Democrats - like getting rid of an undesirable candidate.
But if the press starts asking questions, then Heels Up will have to answer them! And there won’t be any hiding of what a profound idiot she is. Can’t let that happen!
Good one!
