Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on Thursday issued an executive order requiring hospitals report the annual costs of care for illegal migrants so the state can seek reimbursement from the federal government.
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is directed to collect information on illegal migrants who use state hospitals for emergency and inpatient care, according to the executive order. These costs will be reported every year to Abbott’s office and the Texas Legislature in order for state officials to demand reimbursement from the Biden-Harris administration.

The case was not supported by the Governor or AG. It wound it's way through the courts until it was finally 'dismissed' due to standing. A partisan judge that since the Gov and AG weren't on board, the legislature was wrong for getting outside representation.
1 - if EVERY "Republican" state signed onto that lawsuit, with 100% support from Governors, AGs, legislatures, I doubt the judge could have dismissed it the way he did.
2- if EVERY "Republican" state filed a joint suit against Biden, stood shoulder to shoulder and fought Biden the way that Dem states fought Pres Trump, I'm thinking things could be a lot different now.
But NOPE....RINOs everywhere you look and are forced to vote for.
I believe NYS is getting all kinds of big bucks because of the immigrants...and they’re spending it like crazy. Sanctuary states should get nothing. Other states should get reimbursed for everything.
Take that J-Queen Hoo Doo. Way to go Governor Abbott! Taxpayers should not pay health care costs for the 18 million La Raza illegal alien freeloaders who have dedicated their asses to getting the Voo Doo Queen elected.
Pres Trump tried to deny funding. He was sued, probably in DC or the 9th district and lost.
Money had to keep flowing because it was a budget issue. Sadly, the court was right, but......
As usual, Pres Trump found an end-around, in addition to all the other border actions to curb the illegals. He made drastic cuts in refugees allowed in, via the refugee resettlements scams. They were hurting so bad that some closed up, others had massive layoffs.
And what has been proven lately? 6 figure salaries to the resettlement “charities” and “non profits” working with the illegals. All money laundering at its finest.
Tennessee had a lawsuit to end it, years ago and they got no support from other states.
There are 23 or 24 states that have Republican government trifectas and some with super majorities.
If all of them united and sued, it would have crippled Biden and his regime.
Worst part is, even a BLUE State, is loaded with Republicans/Conservatives who suffer through lots of voter fraud and numbers in a few cities that can overwhelm them. Cali, NY, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Pennsylvania
Just issue a Texas law that requires all income withholding be paid to Texas, from which the irs will be paid it’s due after illegal immigrant hospital charges are first subtracted. Let the fed sue
, and then ignore them.
I always thought we should deduct the cost of health care from the country of origin’s foreign aid.
Guess what that would do to the hoards being dumped on us when the potentates see less aid to steal?.
