THIS is the moment a devastating Ukrainian missile bombardment killed 400 of Vladimir Putin's soldiers inside Russia.
The footage shows HIMARS pounding a convoy and Russian troops sprinting for their lives near Rylsk, in the Kursk region.
Putin's war machine was rushing to halt a surprise Ukrainian offensive launched two days ago into Russia, reports say.
Ukraine's brave strike across the border has caught the Russians off-guard and captured a number of villages miles into the country.
New black and white footage of the strike shows explosions mushrooming one after the other as HIMARS missiles hit the column of stationary trucks.
Around 14 vehicles loaded with weapons and ammunition were destroyed in the strike.
Soldiers can be seen jumping out of trucks and vehicles at the front of the column can be seen fleeing the onslaught.
Reports claim 400 of Putin's best were killed inside their own country in the bold hit.
Earlier, footage of the burnt out column littered with decaying bodies was published to social media by a person driving past.

Cluster warhead HIMARS missiles are effectively no cost, because these were all old munitions on the disposition list.
This was the standard ammo of the MLRS rocket system, dating to the 1980’s. HIMARS uses the same ammo as the MLRS, its just that the launcher is smaller and more mobile.
Since the US tacitly accepted the UN CCM convention on cluster munitions it has not made new ones - or since the whole thing first became a controversy. I doubt any new US cluster munitions have been made in 20 years.

In many ways, fairly well. Sebastopol has been abandoned as a base for the Black sea fleet, which has been forced to evacuate to Novorossiysk, and its missile defenses have been degraded to the extent that permitted the Ukrainians to have achieved this result.

My guess is that after a cease fire, Ukraine will offer Russian territory they hold in return for recovery of Ukrainian territory the Russians hold. Putin may grudgingly accept such a deal and declare it a great victory against NATO and Ukraine.

Or Putin will turn his attention to that area and decimate the Ukrainian forces who encroached on Russian land with weapons they acquired from the US. Then it’ll be our turn to pay. The warmongers here and in DC will have gotten their wish.
