I won't go far to say 'Project 2025' is a deliberate deception, but something about the whole hysteria smacks of the equivalent of Lindsay Graham going in national TV to announce an effort to enact a federal abortion ban just before the 2022 midterms, following the Dobbs decision (hint: it wasn't done to help MAGA or a 'red wave').

Its also why people have been trying tie it to Trump--it serves as a way to whip up a frenzy on the left in an election year runup, and a way to muddy the waters when Trump tries to implement anti-globalist initiatives (people will shout 'Project 2025', and the globalists will go along with that because it maintains the status quo we all have been suffering under).

A couple more important items. Heritage has been putting these things out since the 1980s. Many of the chapters were written by LOYAL members of the first Trump administration. Are we playing “opposite day” a bit here?

Mike Pence was loyal. Until he wasn't.
Chris Christie was 'loyal'. He got us Chris Wray as FBI director.
Nimrata Haley was 'loyal'. Until she wasn't. Navarro was loyal (and I would argue it wasn't necessarily to Trump the man, but principle, a rare quality when it cimes to DC) . And spent time in prison for it.

The point is discernment. Navarro is calling 'Project 2025' a trojan horse, and has talked to the same elsewhere. He (and Trump for that matter) have disavowed that 'Project 2025' is the blueprints for a second Trump term.

Just because Heritage has been around a while doesn't give it any golden status, just as the FBI has been around even longer (and I wouldn't trust them to tell me the sun rises in the east).

Navarro’s free to run to the left or appeal to the left by dissing project 2025 because the right for sure isn’t going to vote for Kamala and her crazy communist comrade.
