I used to run the 440 and mile relay. The last 50 yards is pure AGONY. Your thighs feel like LEAD. All you concentrate on is lifting your knees. Incredible running!

Amazing how he’s gritting his teeth and his arms are all over the place yet he was able to pull it out....

The Hall race, Crooks in the Steeplechase, and the Americans winning the gold and bronze (Hocker and Nuguse)in the 1,500 were epic along with Fisher winning the bronze in the 10,000.
The US has already won 19 medals in track and field. The women’s 400 hurdles final tomorrow will be a classic: McLaughlin vs Bol. A world record is almost guaranteed.

Great run!
But not a very diverse and inclusive group!

My favorite race to watch. This may be the most courageous run I’ve ever seen. He gutted it out.

Watch Cole Hocker in the 1500m yesterday. That was amazing

Dave Wottle will always be my favorite:
1972 Olympics Ran local cross-country and track in HS those days, will never forget this and learned what 'fast' is LOL.

Lyles with the 200m as well. Still the 4x400 and 4x100 still on deck. Great chance for gold in 400, same for 100 if they don't screw up the baton hand off.

We still have the men’s 800, 5000, and 110 and 400 hurdles with good shots for medals. And the women’s shot put, heptathlon, long jump, and 100 meter hurdles should yield more.medals.
The performance of our team in track and field could be historic in terms of the Olympics. The U.S. standard for Olympic track and field success remains Los Angeles 1984. On home soil, the Americans won 16 gold medals and 40 total.
We currently have 19 medals with 6 gold.

Great chances in the men's 110m and 400m hurdles for gold. Would be nice if Rai and Grant pull it off, same for the rest of the team. Maybe Athing will run part of the 4x400m leg for the women, and get some redemption for her fall in the trials at 800m.
