The icing on the cake is assigning the least credible federal LE agency—the FBI—to handle the investigation.
Among the best advice any writer can take is: “write what you know.” Properly applied, this axiom can keep writers of fiction from inventing semiautomatic, lever action revolvers, or writing female characters with the sensibilities of Hulk Hogan. Because police work was my military MOS and my first civilian career, I know a few things about investigations, such as what should happen, when and why. When those things don’t happen in the right order, or they don’t happen at all, it’s virtually always indicative of gross incompetence and/or a coverup.

Consider this list of bizarre realities in the pseudo-investigation of the attempted assassination of Donald Trump:
*the Secret Service [SS] had no radio communications not only with the local police but also with the snipers
*most of the vital communications were made using texts over an overloaded cell phone network
To any competent investigator, this would be a screaming alarm, particularly since local law enforcement (LE) offered the SS not only compatible radios, but drones. The SS refused both. Was this institutional arrogance, gross incompetence or something more nefarious?

State Counter-Snipers had the roof covered from a window adjacent to the shooter. (An easy shot to Crooks’ position).
It appears the rifle was momentarily abandoned to answer a legitimate call to go downstairs and open a pass-key door.
(The “Swiss-Cheese” Theory at work—not that I’m convinced).
You don’t get to see it because it happened in another county.
REfusing both drones and communications devices that would allow locals and feds to communicate with each other is a sure sign that this was an inside job. Either one of those things would have protected Trump because he would not have been at the podium when there were guns aimed at him.
It very much looks like Crooks was a decoy to keep anybody from seeing the sniper in the tree who fired shots purposely made too slow to be heard. There is video of one such bullet flying past Trump’s suitcoat. Because they go more slowly, it gave time for the 12mph wind that day to veer the bullet slightly off-course. In this case, just enough that it missed Trump’s vital organs.
But their failure to stop even Crooks, who could just as well have been carrying a neon sign saying, “I’m going to shoot Trump”, shows up how the “security” made deliberate choices that everybody knew would render real security non-existent while still allowing the show to go on. IOW, it was clearly a set-up.
Anybody involved who is not whistleblowing at this point should land in Gitmo. Including those at the top. ESPECIALLY those at the top.
There would have been no Swiss cheese possible if the SS had accepted the offer of the local police drone.
This was a blatant inside job.
I rate that as "unlikely".
The FBI is in charge of the cover-up.
Somebody needs to put Inspector Clouseau from Pink Panther 2 in SS clothes, when he says at a press conference that they have all the modern devices including 2-way radios. Only have him say they will use the modern technology of smoke signals.
It’s not funny, but ridicule should be used to show just how ridiculous it is for them to think they can get away with this treason.

The Secret Service managed to solve the “communication” problem thousands and thousands of times over many decades but now all of a sudden they could not figure it out.....
They must really think we are stupid.
So far I’ve seen three pictures of the dead shooter. In one pic he has a grayish tee shirt and tan shorts. Apparel that matches video of him on the roof. Another pic shows him with a cream colored shirt and desert camo long pants.
Yup—their “narrative” is just silly at this point.
Serious investigators need to ignore everything we have been told and start from scratch.
The FBI is investigating their own crime.
I think there were two patsies. Crooks was the dude walking around that people noticed and he did that on purpose to be noticed. The shooter was on the roof and that was that Yearlick guy. He looked like the picture we saw of the dead guy.
Leaves the question of what happened to Crooks. He is most likely also dead or carted off somewhere.
His parents didn’t appear to be too upset over it.
The “investigation” is not on site.
The FBI abandoned the Butler PA site within twenty four hours.
They are not even trying very hard to fake it.
The shooter probably put a ‘free donuts’ sign up and lured the police/agents who were covering the roof inside so that he could do his thing.
Planned...intentional...blown. The coverup is in full swing.
