A new report from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has revealed that birth rates in the United States are continuing to plummet in an alarming downward spiral.
According to the report from the CDCâs National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), the U.S. annual birth rate fell significantly again in 2023.
The data shows that birth rates have fallen by 2% since 2022, and 17% since reaching a peak in 2007.
The general fertility rate has also fallen by 21% during that time.
