This is certainly a more nuanced issue that trans, and its a shame that it was initially reported as they were “trans”.
These are biological men, who outwardly are female, their testicles never descended while developing in the womb. I don’t recall the Olympics policy on this in the past, I know there was a lot of drama not all that long ago about a runner who had the same condition. They were blowing out competitors, and it was simply because they were a biological man whose testicles never descended.
This should not be confused as the trans gobeldeegook. Usually when this happens the person, nor no one around theme even know they are not biologically what they appear until puberty when they fail to develop female traits and tend to develop more masculine bodies. They are generally just believed to be tomboys and “late bloomers” until they finally get checked out and it is realized they are not what they appear.
In the cases I’ve seen, generally they go on female hormones and tend to lives as female, often marrying and other things, though they are obvioulsy unable to have children.
What about their penises?
Do they have them?
So they are hermaphodites?
Going forward they need to do blood tests on all females to be sure these in-betweens don’t compete against women
In the past, if you were XY, then you were a man.
It is only now in our current “enlightened” times, that we seem to have a problem.
