Scottie Scheffler shot a bogey-free course record 62 at Le Golf National on Sunday for a come-from-behind gold medal victory.
Sure, the impact of the victory will have on his all-time legacy may not be up there with his two green jackets or even his two Ryder Cup victories. But it's no secret that this was his most emotional reaction to a victory.

While standing on the podium for the medal ceremony, Scheffler burst into happy tears during the playing of the national anthem.

Scheffler now shifts his focus to the FedEx Cup Playoffs and then will all but likely represent the Stars and Stripes at the Presidents Cup against Team International (excluding Europe) at The Royal Montreal Golf Club in Canada.

Actually, golf is not a sport. Mountain climbing, bull fighting, and auto racing are sports. Everything else is just a game. š

How is that a farce?
Because golf was only officionaly recognized by the IOC in 2016.
And I stated previously, It's a farce because the Olympics were for amateurs, and still feature amateurs in the nondescript sports that don't feature multi-millionaire athletes.
The true meaning of amateur Olympics came to an end when the USA allowed 12 members of the NBA to represent the USA in basketball.....
Like I stated previously, change the olympics to the "World Professional Athletics Championships"......
Watched it- it was terrific....he was completely composed until the last 10 seconds of the Anthem then he broke down.
He said in an interview he was at the woman’s gymnastics the other night when America won gold and started crying when they played the Anthem.
I’ve watched it....the IOC and Paris OC have completely embarrassed themselves and i’m fine with that as they are scum- but the athletes, who have nothing to do with the BS going on, worked their entire lives for this. You can’t blame them.

What about the previous 40 years to 1992 when the eastern block countries were putting professional athletes into the Olympic Games, camouflaging them as “soldiers” in the army when their sole job was to win medals at the Olympics??

Oh, yes and a semi little known Tennis player who was the co flag barer. Coco what’s her name with the correct skin color?
Why not swimmer Katie Ledecky going for the all time USA Women’s medal count (she accomplished it) that’s right wrong skin color.
The athletes ... I don’t care. I do sympathize for their plight but I don’t care and won’t support them in any way.
I wondered how the female flag bearer was a woman tennis player who had never been in the Olympics before. That seemed ridiculous to me.

They got what they deserved. Holding the flag at the front of a boat in the pouring rain made them look as foolish as they should’ve looked.
