New York is racing forward to try to crash into the wall of reality at full speed.

They should sell tickets for spectators.

The problem with all leftards theories.. besides reality... is science, nature and history.

Will the net zero fantasies of the climate cultists proceed at full speed until they crash into a wall of physical reality (e.g., blackouts)? Or instead will these fantasies gradually retreat as governments respond to voter pressure over costs and convenience, and as investors pull back as it becomes clear that projects cannot succeed financially?

Why will blackouts be some final straw for change? There are countries all over the world whose people suffer regular blackouts due to asinine government policies, but nothing ever changes - indeed, it often just gets steadily worse.

why would the USA be any different?

The “green fantasy” will never end or succeed. However as long as its irrational advocates have power, the standard of living and quality of life will decline for most and poverty will increase.

I suspect that the failure of the public to embrace the idiotic green new deal will result in, eventually, the dems “declar8ng climate emergencies” and issuing executive orders forcing people onto green policies. For now they are trying just to get public to accept the scam, but in the future, I suspect they will drop the “voluntary compliance” (which isnt wor,ing for obvious reasons) and begin their “forced comp, iance” like hochul is doing in ny with her asinine policies outlawing gas and fuel appliances like fuel run furnaces, stoves, etc.

Government only rewards failure with more spending, more regulations, and less individual liberty. The intent of a “green economy” has never been about function. Quite the opposite really.

The Green Revolution is an expensive hobby, just like the care and feeding of illegal aliens. They both work better in good economic times. In this economy, where only government employees, government contractors, and illegal aliens are doing well, not so much.

The fastest way to get alternative sources of energy is to use up existing sources as fast as possible. Actual shortages would create unprecedented incentives for R&D.

The state’s climate law, passed in 2019, mandates that New York obtain 70% of its electricity from renewable sources like wind and solar by 2030 . . . However, New York will likely have generated only enough renewable energy to meet around 45% of its electricity needs by the end of the decade . . . .

Will the state sue itself for breaking the law? Will Letitia James vigorously pursue injustice against her cronies?

All this time, we thought we could change the weather by driving electric cars and killing cows.

When it becomes cost effective and profitable, it will prevail. Until then, it may be somewhat tolerated by the uninformed.
