I'm noticing a lot of flights currently are being diverted from JFK including international flights from Asia. Anyone got the inside scoop?
Severe thunderstorms
John F Kennedy Intl (KJFK) is currently experiencing:
-departure delays of 16 minutes to 30 minutes (and increasing) due to weather
-inbound flights delayed at their origin an average of 3 hours 46 minutes
-all inbound flights being held at their origin until Saturday at 09:15PM EDT
Thanks. I know there is a heightened threat level from Iran right now. I’ll add that website to favs.
Severe storms in NYC area.
Yeah we had them yesterday and last week (between Rochester and Syracuse)
Thunderstorms in area, for sure. Could be other stuff, who knows anymore?
self deportations ahead of schedule?
My oldest son just called me to let me know he got home from having spent the day in NY City via Amtrak. He said as soon as he got on the train, the skies opened up there.
Jill Bidog flew in for pizza
Hopefully they were diverted back to Asia....
In addition, who can trust DEI-trained NY control tower personnel in any kind of bad weather...
How are you noticing?
On your basement radar screen?! Or are you monitoring the radio control tower communications?! Scanning the skies with binoculars while standing in your backyard?
Context is king!
