Hey old goat. I may not have been at her level as you rank it, butI maintianed a 300 on my Army Physical fitness test for over 20 years, no small feat, which required I work out on that skill set day in and out. I took that test 2-3x a year depending on military schooling, and never once fell below 292 and only had 7 lower than 300. Not many people MAX their PT tests in the Infantry or in combat arms units. Not when properly administered.

Pertinent to this discussion is a cool fact, one of the Army’s 1972 olympic boxing Coaches, SSG Johnson was an NCO in my company in the 82d Airborne Divison, and he was assigned SD Special Duty to train boxers, several again in my company and battalion; so I’ve been around boxers at the highest levels. When I was an IG I worked for over three years and daily trained with with a guy who won the Army/Ft Bragg TriAthlon Event twice. So again I’ve been side with the best; today Pete is totally physically broken down and I’m in towed jumper status myself. I know from youth old age what a competitive athlete has to endure. But women boxing against men is not one of them.

The fact that you are in strict compliance with the regime’s fake sports says all that needs be said. The truth is that this Olympics, and any man vs. woman boxing event is a political event designed for political purposes.

Every four years the Olympics are used as a political hammer against the Russians, or whoever the West doesn’t want competing... but this year the Olypmics were stolen from the people of the world by the Marxists. They are mocking you and me, and the athletes. They have staged an event fully funded by many countries in good faith.

Having put up with the BS surrounding the US women’s soccer team for years, or the BB take a knee crowd, there comes a point where the person competing needs to simply say no.

This is not Gladiator but real life. This year’s olympics depends on people like you that demand participation for the sake of the games, but these are no longer games but political theater.

Passed every Marine Corps and Navy PFT for over 30 years, only scored a 300 once on the USMC PFT, but unlike the Army we ran three miles🙄

However, that does not compare to how an International level athlete trains. Boxers especially have an unbelievable regimen. Then they have to fight their way through Regional, National and International competitions to qualify, while still training at a high level. It is nothing like staying in shape for a military PFT.

Yes, the body does not take kindly to the abuse, but thankfully we now have a better understanding of the human body and have gotten rid of exercises that did long term damage. Sit-ups are horrible for the lower back, for years I did 200-300 sit-ups five days a week to keep my score up on the USMC PFT. Pushups are another exercise that does long term damage for minimal short term gain. Planking and other core exercise are less damaging and have measurable effects. This goes to how we train fighters now. We use new and innovative exercises and equipment that is less damaging to the body.

In the end what we are talking about is a young women who deserves respect for just getting in the ring with a man. That took heart. For those who say she should have walked out in protest, I say they never trained and fought to get to that position so they have no right to tell her what she should have done. God Bless her, she is tough and has a lot heart.

The chief was not wrong and you have a point.   But what is "towed jumper status" and what would that have to do with your fitness?
19.39. Towed Parachutist.

19.39.1. The jumpmaster will stop the remaining parachutists; the loadmaster will notify the PIC; and the PM will turn on the red light. The PF will maintain drop airspeed, at least the minimum drop altitude (AGL) for the type parachute being used, and avoid flying over or up wind of water or built up areas.

19.39.1.1. Crews should suspect they have a towed parachutist if static lines are not fully tucked into the upper corner of the paratroop door or if a D-bag appears to be stuck outside the door. It is unlikely for a D-bag to become caught on the outside of the aircraft and is a probable indicator a parachutist is being towed. In any case, crews should follow AFI11-2C-130V3 23 APRIL 2012 259 emergency procedures until they have confirmed no parachutist is being towed. Crews should take special effort to confirm towed jumper status at night with limited rearward visibility. They should consider using an additional source of illumination to view the rear of the aircraft.
19.39.2. The jumpmaster or safety observer is responsible for identifying how the parachutist is towed. If being towed by anything other than the static line, the jumpmaster or safety will attempt to free the parachutist. If being towed by the static line, the jumpmaster or safety will make a recommendation to the PIC, through the loadmaster, whether to retrieve the parachutist or cut him or her free. If all parachutists have exited and there is no safety person onboard, this responsibility rests with the loadmaster.

19.39.3. The PIC will make the final decision whether or not to cut the towed parachutist free. If the decision is to cut the parachutist free, the loadmaster will cut the static line on the PIC‘s command. NOTE: Towed parachutists indicate consciousness and that reserve parachute is ready by maintaining a tight-body position with both hands on reserve parachute. This indicates the jumper is prepared to be cut away.

I was Air Force and flew twice in C-130's, one rigged for parachutists.   The bench seats made a great bed, coming home on emergency leave from the Azores.
