In this songs case the flatbed should be doing laps at Talladega.
one of my all time fav’s
Poor Steve Stevens. His parents just weren’t very creative
Rebel Yell was great but Eyes Without a Face really got me.
Poser.
No offense to anyone who he rocks...always seemed plastic to moi.
[So I should not comment, I suppose...but he sparks huge ick in me...LOL]
He’s excellent. Better with age. Voice has character.
Eyes w/o a Face was a lovely song, quite unlike most of Billy’s hits. It was a complete thought, well written to music. Not over produced. I never hear it played anymore.
Dang, Billy still has it! Great singing, great playing, great production work.
My favorite Australian cover band does a great cover version:
Voice is getting a little weaker. Face a little puffy. I love the song, love Billy but he ain’t a twenty something anymore.
Didn’t know U2 did the flatbed truck thing. The Rolling Stones did it in 1975 at the start of their U.S. tour. Charlie’s idea, he knew the jazz musicians playing Harlem used to ride around on trucks to attract attention for their club dates.

Has it only been 40 years? Seems like a lot more.
Where were you when you danced to Rebel Yell?
Uh, sorry, but I gotta ask for a bidengaffe there. No clue where I was, but I hope it was with a comely lass!
except it was probably cool when the Stones did it.
I’m unsure which I prefer: The beautiful song “Eyes Without A Face” or the chilling French film of the same name “ Les Yeux Sans Visage”. I love both.
I have a massive 80’s Playlist on Spotify and I listen to that song often.
Rage Against the Machine shutting down the NY stock exchange was much more fun.
I agree, he has lost an octave or two. He still seems to be in good shape for a guy pushing 70...
Thanks for posting.
