I used to go regularly for dollar drinks, but they have gone up. And the only items I will buy are from the value menu, which seems to be no more.
But even that item is not that healthy for you.
I prefer to make my Egg McMuffins at home with two fried farm eggs in Kerrygold butter, two slices of thick swiss cheese, and a slab of real bacon (not that Canadian bacon crap). The only unhealthy thing about my homemade Egg McMuffin is the Thomas' English Muffin. But it's hard to be perfect.
The last time I went was for a free item for my birthday. The iced coffee was good.
We still frequent McDonald’s on road trips.
Like every other company they may just shrink the size or add some sawdust.
what ever happened to “value” meals....a big mac is like a regular hamburger it seems and their coffee prices seem ridiculous for aiming to be a cheaper version of starbucks....
if its well made, sure, a McD’s burger and fries can be good. But the real issue is the price, price of everything. A big appeal of buying fast food in the past was its quick and it was cheap, but the cheap part is no longer true.
Say, didn’t Biden recently claim “People have the money to spend”?
And I still haven’t forgotten how they sold off their Israeli franchise after it was discovered that they were giving free meals to IDF soldiers.
My kids are grown and on their own but we used to eat at mickeyD's occasionally. No way would I have paid those prices.
I dont go as I dont find it edible, but had to go for the grandkids recently. Went inside to order and there was no one in sight, not even a kiosk. Turns out you have to use an app to order this stuff. Took 10 minutes for someone to come to the counter to take my order.
To me everything at McDonalds tastes like chemicals. The only thing I like is McRib, Steak egg & cheese bagel and occasional fries.
Probably just need more self-serv kiosks?
I can still get an enchilada platter at my local texmex family joint for 8.54 with chips and salsa and a large iced tea.
They are doing well.

People flocked to McDonalds for 15c hamburgers not a $20.00 meal.
I can get a REAL cooked dinner at Chili’s for about that. A real waitress to serve me, in a pleasant atmosphere. I can even get a beer if I want to.
They treat me like a customer. No “wutch you want bro.”
Cut the prices in half and restore the dollar menu.
Also I like Egg McMuffins. You can only get them up to 10.00 am (10:30 some days). Why not till NOON? I know this is possible. They used to have all day breakfasts.
AND THEIR F-ING SHAKE MACHINES ARE ALWAYS BROKEN!
