It is my personal believe that this could have happened to a white man too. But even so if this went down as claimed then then some staff should personally face criminal charges.

You can’t restrain someone in a hospital for telling wild stories. They have to exhibit danger to themselves or someone else,you need a physician’s order, you have to go with less restrictive alternatives first,like a bed alarm, or one on one watch.

So unless hospital ignored all protocols, or even if protocols didn’t apply because it was a security issue in waiting room and he hadn’t been seen medically yet, there was likely something else going on besides what he said.
