If there was a drug that killed users the very first time they injected it to get high, I swear people would try it.
My first thought is sometimes problems take care of themselves............

Just listing opioid analogues as Schedule I drugs is not enough. Based on their lethality, they should be treated as WMDs, Weapons of Mass Destruction. It is not unreasonable to classify Carfentanil the same as enriched Uranium, Plutonium, or weapons-grade Anthrax or Smallpox.
The scary thing is that medetomidine has an isomer called dexmedetomidine which is an IV anesthetic (centrally acting alpha agonist) which is dissociative to produce GA state. Medetonidine plus Carfenta is a hell of a general anesthetic which will stop breathing quickly due to the narcotic potency of carfentanyl.
This is scary stuff. The only bright side is it would be a very peaceful death. I would worry about this being aerosolized in a closed space a la the Russian ballet fentanyl massacre a decade back.
My thought on over dosing is that if it’s not accidental it should not be treated and the addict should be allowed to follow their chosen path.

Need a more potent drug for the azzholes that do them. Thin the herd even faster and NARCAN should be outlawed against drug users.
You know that carfentanil is bad, but I hear this new truckfentanil is even worse.
