They're not even trying anymore. They're grabbing whatever they can get advertisers for and just going with it.
When Kurt Angle, an actual Olympic wrestler, joined the WWE staged wrestling, it showed that there really is no future for these competitors. Sell the lip balm, cereal, mobile phone plans, automobiles, snack bars, sugar drinks, sneakers, etc. until the next Olympics rolls around and someone else takes over the role of hawking for advertisers.
