The current Venezuela situation is another creation of Jimmy Carter. Hugo Chavez’ initial “election” was corrupt from start to finish. It was contested by everyone except the Chavistas, but Carter’s election integrity group blessed it any way and this is the result several years downstream. Hugo was aided by the Castro regime with instructions on how to run a crooked election, and they supplied the personnel to set up and train his gestapo. Cuba will support him against any effort to remove him.

The election is tomorrow I believe. If Maduro loses, that will be interesting. If he wins, that will mean it’s fixed. He’s already blocked two candidates from the ballot. He let their replacement proceed because he thinks he can beat him.
