I know the child wasn’t killed or seriously injured but the attack saddens me almost as much as these other horrific fatal attacks. The kid is such a trooper and endured her abuse without shrieking and crying like 99.9 of all small children/toddlers would have.

Oh thats so heartbreaking. Kid didnt even cry. Its used to that kind of treatment. Kid needs major psyche help now to offset complex childhood trauma thats def going to happen. The mom...needs to be scared for life so she sees it every time she looks in the mirror.

Based on what’s said in the article, this is well beyond “Spare the rod & spoil the child”.
To slam him on the floor or into a wall could be life threatening and is beyond a beating.
I have a feeling her Slavic culture allows corporal punishment, which is not necessarily a bad thing. It worked quite well in the 50’s & 60’s and never caused PTSD and the recipients mostly never went to jail and were reasonably successful in their lives.
Remove corporal punishment, limited to spankings on the rear end, as a parenting tool and we have what we have today.
Again, that lady went way beyond acceptable boundaries. A little jail time would have been a good idea.
The child will be dead next time. She will be in the wind.

Judges always come down hard on men, but not women. If this were a man, he’d get jail time, but being a “single mother”, usually by choice, gets the sympathy of the court.
Institutionalized and abused children react like that. They have no experience of anyone reacting to their cries with help or care and so stop crying.
There’s a lower level of abuse that occurs with children in daycare. Normal children react to strangers by looking at them and smiling. Daycare babies don’t react to strangers or turn away. It’s the beginnings of anti-social behavior.
I took a class on child development back in the olden days when American child care was almost always mother care with an intact family. Our case studies and data were mostly from war torn countries and foreign government orphanages. America was very different back then. I never thought I’d see those children in this country.

I just watched the video. This goes way beyond discipline. This is hating the kid and blaming the child because she can’t go out and party. She looks like another one of those morons who just can’t put down that stupid smart phone.

That is monstrous and the reason the child didn’t cry is because it has happened multiple times before and he is used to it. Disgusting. Her parental rights should be terminated and she should never be allowed around children again.
