FORECAST rain Fri-Sat, dry Sunday.

It’s Spa, so the forecast is worth as much as a Joe Biden win ticket.

Thanks, btw as always, for keeping this critically important thread going!

To: Chode; All

Anyone here on board with the idea the points system needs serious revue?

Examples might be anyone completing an F1 race within one lap down from the lead, deserves a point. If fast lap deserves one surely a finish would deserve the same.

Second place would seem to me deserving of 20 points vice 15 and the next 13 places a corresponding reduction in points.

Etc. I’m just a bit tired of the also rans ending a season with zero points despite the efforts and serious money required to field a team.

Maybe fastest pit stop?

No swear words on the radio?

No on track violations? Such as exceeding track limits, speeding in the pits, actually I can’t even remember if speeding in the pits is even a thing in F1 or a Nascar deal. etc.

First ten finishers do not qualify for finish points based on their greater points total above the number one.

Ten points for staying apolitical, ten points for pushing back against woke ideology. Ten points for keeping rainbows off of helmets and cars.

I do realize the “system” could end up a bit unwieldly but a good shakeup might force a bit more competitive race than now exists.

I think they need much more run off at the top of the hill going onto the Kemmel Straight. That is where the worst accidents happen. Cars go off and hit the barrier and get bounced back into traffic. With the crest of the hill, oncoming drivers can’t see anything until it is too late. More run off on the right side just after the crest of the hill would be a huge safety improvement and would not affect the track layout. Just my opinion.

that’d work... i mean a flash alert over the radio by the Marshall prolly wouldn’t hurt.
