… U.S. President Joe Biden’s decision to withdraw from the White House race may well turn 2024 into the Year of the Woman — namely, that of Vice President Kamala Harris who, armed with the outgoing president’s endorsement, can now be considered the front-runner to replace him atop the Democratic ticket.
Truth is, if Harris is successful in getting the nod from the Democratic Party, much of the subsequent election campaign is likely to domestically focus on abortion and women’s rights. Trump already has a problem with women voters — polls have consistently shown that the proportion of women planning to vote for him this November is smaller than those who did in 2020. And Vance has nothing to offer Trump on this score — quite the reverse, he risks compounding his boss’s problem.
Presumably, Trump chose Vance as his VP candidate largely to fire up the MAGA base and boost the Republican ticket in Rust Belt states. But that was a choice made when Biden was still heading the Democratic ticket. Now that he’s not, Vance may well become a liability.

Politico is VERY concerned about JD Vance. They should be.
‘He’s pretty much the right pic, I think, for anybody who is the VP.
Remember, he knows how to bicker with an Indian woman.”
Yeah, but... does he ‘win’ those fights with an Indian woman? lol
“Polutico” Nuff said!
Pollutico says he’s no good.
I’m sure Pollutico has our best interests in mind.
We must follow everything Pollutico says.
In other news, the Earth is flat ...
The msm seem to believe the two biggest issues for women are “abortion and women’s rights.”
My biggest issues are my grocery bill, 17 million unvetted criminal invaders and taxes.
I call it vaginal politics.
“Presumably, Trump chose Vance as his VP candidate largely to fire up the MAGA base and boost the Republican ticket in Rust Belt states. But that was a choice made when Biden was still heading the Democratic ticket. Now that he’s not, Vance may well become a liability.”
I totally disagree with this premise.
IMHO....
If Trump had picked a female for VP, that would have been seen by most American women as the atypical gimmick that Democrats always use to ‘get the votes’ of that particular voting block... in this case the womens’ vote.
Most anti-Trump women voters wouldn’t vote for Trump no matter who or what he ran with as his VP. And most pro-Trump women are savvy and smart enough to be somewhat offended by that “Democrat-style tactic”.
Also, especially considering what we’ve been witnessing lately re: female SS agents and the SS director’s complete and total ineptness... picking a female VP would only further that perception of continued FUBAR. Kamala Harris has been a dismal failure as VP for the Democrat Party, and Trump picking a female VP would have doubled down on that perception of continued failure.
Most pro-Trump male voters would also, IMO, be offended by Trump picking a female VP at this point in our nations’ deliberately orchestrated demise... and I think Trump would have lost many male voters, had he chosen a female VP.
The nation is in crisis currently. It really is ‘the’ most crucial election in our nation’s history... and we need a strong leadership duo, for a very refreshing and much needed change. I think Trump and Vance fill that bill perfectly. Right men, right time.
I have my concerns about Vance but not for any of the reasons listed here.
My concerns are mostly that he has the charisma of drywall.
Yes, Trump, who’s already stated before the pick that he expected Harris to be the nominee, made a decision without thinking she would be the nominee… what nonsense.
NO —HE IS RIGHT WHERE HE SHOULD BE.
Oh he’s DEFINITELY the wrong pick. Trump needs to replace him immediately or he will legitimately lose the election….. no fraud will be needed.
This is just leftist nonsense and part of the Harris disinformation campaign that the Democrats, DNC and leftist MSM is throwing out there right now.
MSM going full bore against Vance when Harris hasn’t been officially nominated and voted for, OR having an official VP running mate. Absurd.
The more the libs spew hatred on Vance, the better I like him.
