While the “good ol' boys” never meant any harm, according to the show’s theme song, the confederate flag atop their signature vehicle the General Lee is a symbol of racial intolerance and slavery. TV Land pulled reruns of the show back in 2015 because of controversy surrounding the Confederate flag. I find the authors attitude towards these shows far more offensive than the content of any of these programs.

Me too. Daisy Duke sure was easy on the eyes. But Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane made that show for me. What a hoot!

The first few episodes that were made on location in Covington, GA were much better than the rest of what was produced in the Burbank, CA area. Also liked Roscoe when he wasn’t some cartoonish dumb person.

We’re watching NYPD Blue, and that never would fly now. Partial frontal nudity. Full back nudity. Three or four of the “7 words you can’t say on TV”. Every racial slur known to man.

They did do a few episodes where Meathead was shown up to be a hypocrite on that show. One was where the place was being burglarized and the other was when they played this psychoanalysis board game.

I’m was surprised The Man Show wasn’t on the list. Then I remembered the left forgives Kimmel since he’s one of them.

Hee Haw would probably not make it either. My Dad used to howl laughing at that show! The Goldiggers, Laugh In (mostly because libs hate to laugh unless it’s at a conservative) Andy Griffith because they talked about church and prayers and other such “nonsense”.

“Amos and Andy” — the TV show — also was one of the first to show blacks in professional positions and in a positive light: bank managers, doctors, lawyers, a couple of judges. But nope! Nowadays that’s racist (and Tim Moore was awesome!).
