We're shocked some of these ever made it on the air.
SNIP
2 The Dukes of Hazzard
While the “good ol' boys” never meant any harm, according to the show’s theme song, the confederate flag atop their signature vehicle the General Lee is a symbol of racial intolerance and slavery. TV Land pulled reruns of the show back in 2015 because of controversy surrounding the Confederate flag. That being said, a show with Daisy Duke donning her signature short-shorts and rebelling against Southern stereotypes might be a hit.

Thank you very much and God bless you.
I loved the Dukes. It wasn’t the least bit racist. So many, uhhh, interesting characters!
isn’t she the babe from the remake of Baywatch?
I thought they renamed it Whale Watch.
Could they make any of the family sitcoms from the ‘50s and ‘60s nowadays? Those shows have the mothers in certain distinct roles which would outrage feminist nowadays.
Had to chuckle with Tom Hanks in Bosom Buddies. We are lectured that we are supposed to be so tolerant and accepting of transgender people. I’m sure a show like that would be a deeply offensive to LGBT types nowadays.
Was at an old car show last week, and it had an exact replica of the General Lee.
Archie Bunker was actually intended to be a hated caricature of a right-wing bigot but a funny thing happened. America fell in love with the guy. Probably had something to do with his total lack of fear to express his (not always right) but brutally honest feelings and non-apologetic attitude.
This article is unmitigated communist garbage!
It is a drum they beat on as they stamp out all of our Constitutionally-guaranteed rights & freedoms...
These shows (and many others from the 50s & 60s) are a clear reflection of a freer and more creative America...
Science, music, TV shows, movies, and education systems have all been stripped of any, and all, outcomes reflecting creativity, intelligence, and civilization...
Wow,killer legs. Same as in HeHaw
Remember that show?
Bosom Buddies
This lighthearted comedy starring Tom Hanks isn’t as offensive as others on this list, but the plot just isn’t feasible today. A show about two men dressing in drag in order to score cheap rent in an all-female apartment building doesn’t make any sense in today’s more enlightened culture when it comes to gender identity.
How about A show about two men dressing in drag in order to score first place in an all-female sporting event?
Three’s Company
Yep I’ve heard how Archie was supposed to be ridiculed by Meat head and other liberals on the show. Instead Archie became a big hero to viewers. And Meathead was disliked by many.
Las Vegas? Too much straightness? Too much T&A
No mention of Amos and Andy. The first almost all black sitcom. Very little actual racism.
Or Mama June. Speaking of which, “Here comes Honey 🍯 Boo Boo” was number four on that last.
Very odd.
I always thought that the premise of Bosom Buddies was stupid to begin with. I was more of a fan of Soap and also Benson.
There was a time when the Democrats were basically a Southern party where all culture - including TV - celebrated Southern Democrat culture, including nostalgia for the Confederacy. Once the Dems were wiped out in the South, the medial culture changed to vilify Southern culture (and convenienty ignored that the Democrats created the Dixie / Confederate culture).
