We heard your stupid *ss on the live thread already. The 9 minutes that Hogan spoke really effected your sleep schedule. Nobody gives a ####!

Why did you call me a faggot in a private mail, rather than in the thread?

I got my sleep. I bagged half of Trump’s speech. The RNC let Hogan waste 9 minutes. For everyone who works for a living on the East Coast who would have preferred to hear from Trump vs a former entertainer, that choice was an unforced error.

I am perfectly fine with modernizing the Republican Party. It is time. It is not 1984, McCain and Romney are yesterday’s news, and we needn’t play Sinatra.

I’d have been cool with Alice Cooper or even Meshuggah. But this isn’t about me. Or even you. It’s about voters on the bubble. Kid Rock gains no incremental voters - his draw is already in the tank for Trump, but he potentially alienates religious folks who were put off by his lyrics.

Hulk Hogan appeals to GenXers who peaked in high school. Younger and Boomer voters will think he’s a buffoon (because he was). GenXers who sold their Hulk Hogan figurines on eBay 20 years ago are unimpressed or put off.

Those peaked adults…I have no idea in which voting bloc that lot sits. Maybe they did some polling that revealed those voters are centrists in PA, MI, WI, MN, GA, and AZ. At the same time, there a bunch of people who’d be swayed by Trump’s son but who are now in the “maybe I’ll stay home” camp because of Hogan.

The RNC made some terrible choices with their prime time free publicity. It’s so typical that Republicans can find a way to screw things up. Thankfully, Trump was Presidential and had the best speech of his life.

I’m glad I made a positive impression last night.

Now, onto victory.
