Conservatives are calling for MSNBC anchor Joy Reid to be taken off the air after she shared inflammatory theories about the attempted assassination of Donald Trump.
Reid, 55, angered critics on two occasions after a gunman shot Trump in the ear, including sharing a video to X implying that he was not even shot at all.
And after President Biden tested positive for Covid days after the assassination attempt, Reid said on a broadcast that Biden's brush with the virus was as heroic as Trump's reaction to narrowly avoiding a bullet.
Conservative commentator Charlie Kirk led the criticisms of Reid's remarks, as he called on MSNBC to 'take Reid off the air' for her 'outrageous, insane, defamatory' theories.
Reid's X video came amid mounting pressure on the Secret Service to explain the disastrous security slip that allowed the shooter to fire at Trump, as she listed several things she found 'weird' about the episode.
She appeared to imply it was a staged event that allowed Trump to 'pose' for the iconic photo of him pumping his fist in the air - which Kirk said would mean Trump's 'campaign and the Secret Service colluded to kill two people in a fake assassination attempt just so Trump could have a photo op.'
'Donald Trump should sue her, immediately,' he added.
Reid also stated that we 'still don't know for sure whether Donald Trump was hit by a bullet', citing early reports that he may have been hit by a shard of glass from a teleprompter.
After also branding the assassination attempt a 'photo op' in the earlier MSNBC broadcast, Reid took a similar tune in her X clip as she speculated that Trump's Secret Service agents paused to allow Trump to strike a pose for the cameras.

My Dad used to say that if you cannot say something nice, don’t say anything at all. Well, mss Reid would never speak again if this were true of her! Viscous,, toxic, morally bankrupt being that she is, she is a lost soul.
Wasn’t Alex Jones sued and lost his case over the Sandy Brooke (?) situation? I think his case opened the door for other people to start suing the media. There’s a place and time to report news but slander and continual enticement of violence is another thing. I hope the families of Butler Pennsylvania whose loved were either killed or wounded should sue all the media outlets who called this horrific situation fake and a set up by the Trump administration. It’s time to go full throttle and fight fight fight! Fight like hell!!

Sounds like assassination denialism. The first thing Trump should do is strip NBC of its press credentials for disinformation. When we win the majorities in the House and Senate, do the same. When a Democrat comes before the House and Senate, break out the Steffy Stephonopolous ploy. Ask them if they believe that the assassination attempt was real, if they hesitate, charge them with contempt and throw them in jail.
