Axios is reporting that an unnamed editor of a ‘major news outlet’ is advising the media not to use the now iconic image of Trump defiantly raising his fist after the attempt on his life this weekend.

This editor recognizes the inherent power of the image and believes that it helps Trump.

"The media" can't stop folks on the internet from disseminating the photo.

And in fact it will be thoroughly disseminated without any definite organized effort or central control.

Of course the image of Trump raising his fist in defiance beneath the flag helps him, no question. But an attempt at grievous harm with extreme prejudice had just been directed at him personally.

The NYT staff also probably believes wholeheartedly that, like many on the liberal plantation, it was “too bad” the shooter missed, though nobody working for NYT would admit that opinion publicly. Nor will they even refer to the death of the man in the crowd, or the two critically wounded by the scattered slugs. even as collateral damage. No compassion, no pity, no remorse.

Reagan was a master of setting up the still shot. I remember once when Gromyko was visiting from the USSR, the photo of Reagan had him with both hands on the shorter Gromyko's shoulders, guiding him. Gromyko looking slightly confused and/or concerned, and Reagan looking confident and assured.

My favorite Trump photo is when he has Romney for dinner, and Romney looks embarrassed and sheepish, with Trump having the time of his life.

How about the picture the media uses of the freak who shot Trump? It’s probably his 6th grade school picture. They love to use that one because in it he’s wearing a Mt. Rushmore shirt. I think there’s also an American flag on the shirt.
