JD Vance, a Republican running for US Senate in Ohio, said he's not particularly interested in the Ukraine-Russia conflict.
"I gotta be honest with you, I don't really care what happens to Ukraine one way or another," Vance said on an episode of Steve Bannon's War Room.
"I do care about the fact that in my community right now the leading cause of death among 18-45-year-olds is Mexican fentanyl that's coming across the southern border."

The people growing up in the Ohio River Valley share the same experiences as J.D. Vance. The same issues affect all those states.

But now it’s okay for us to treat Ukraine like it’s the 51st state, because the Soviet Union no longer exists, even though Russia has the same amount of nuclear weapons that they had before?
We’re not risking world War 3 anymore, because it’s no longer the Soviet Union, and we no longer push the Cold War propaganda? And now that it’s just Russia, we can just say “Putin’s a bad dude, and he needs to go, and maybe we can get the Russian people to rise up against him”?
