A woman who was sitting behind Donald Trump when he survived an assassination attempt has sparked suspicion over her strange behavior.
Footage showing the unidentified woman wearing sunglasses, a white shirt and a black hat pulling out her phone as shots rang out at the Pennsylvania rally on Saturday has gone viral.
She did so while everyone else - including Trump - was still down on the ground in fear for their lives.
A post on X asking people to 'pay close attention' to the woman has been viewed more than 19 million times.
The images have even added fuel to some of the crazy conspiracy theories being shared following Saturday's shooting.
Another viral post reads: 'Gunshots ring out and her first instinct is to very, very calmly pull out her phone and film the whole spectacle. Does that seem like normal behavior to you?'
Some X users even theorized that the woman gave a 'a nod' before the first shot rang out - with one going as far as calling the woman 'an accomplice' without offering evidence.
However others argued that the woman's calm demeanor was due to mass shootings being so common in America.
One social media user said: 'Is this how numb we are to gun violence in America? Watch the woman in white with the black hat right behind Trump.
'Rather than take cover or - I don’t know - protect the child behind her - She takes out her phone and starts recording.'

There’s plenty of fodder in this whole mess that raises eyebrows. A middle-age woman’s instinct to collect Instagram content is hardly strange.

The reason for all the crazy conspiracy theories is that nutjob gadflies are always attracted to this type of events.
Where is the video or pictures she took?
I’d like to know how the entire crowd refrained from a crushing stampede. That might be the second miracle.

A lot was happening at that moment. The President was down. People screaming. Gunshots seemed to be going off in every direction (sound can play tricks). And a water cannon went off to the right (our right) of the stage.
The guy in the boonie hat was reacting like most there. Crouching low and looking in every direction for a threat.
Having been on the receiving end of high-powered rifle fire, the bullets arrive before the sound of the gun being fired does. Your first reaction to the sound of a miss zipping by is, “WTF was *that*?” It takes a few seconds for you to realize you’re being shot at and from which direction.

I’m so used to gunfire (Appalachia), I don’t know that I would move. I hear it all the time.
And today it is TikTok, X/Twitter, and Facebook.
I DO know a father instinctively threw himself on to his family to protect them. He took the bullet and may he rest in peace. I hope President Trump mentions Corey Comperatore.

I noticed that too. You hear so much about the panic causing more death and injury than the actual event. Either those people had nerves of steel, or they were dazed, or they felt disconnected to the events there.

I heard this morning the various communications were not routinely recorded. Amazing.
Someone wondered if the local cops told the Secret Service by radio that a man with a gun was on the roof——meaning shut down the speech and cover Donald Trump.
Recorded radio chatter might give important evidence.
I find nothing strange about it given I am around younger people a lot. Some day soon people will record their own shootings, robberies, assaults.
I took some screen shots before that assassination attempt and this woman has her phone out the entire time. She was recording Trump’s speech.
