It's a 1 hour 10 minute message with no punches pulled. The sermon starts with the video clip from Butler, PA of the attempted assassination. How many churches showed the clip yesterday of the attempted assassination on Saturday? How many churches in American even mentioned the attempted assassination yesterday?
I would dare say that 95% plus of us Freepers have never heard a sermon like this. By the way, this is from a church in California.
A Call to a Solemn Assembly Sermon Notes
My church did. Our pastor said an opening prayer for President Trump.
From your tagline I would surmise that you are very selective about your church fellowship, and take your faith seriously.
Time is short. Keep your eye on the prize. Pray and watch.
My church spent 90 minutes focused on Jesus Christ.
.
My church is Christian/Conservative. It’s non-denominational, adheres to biblical teachings. I do take my faith seriously. I can’t wait to get to heaven and be with Jesus for eternity!
When I come home to Heaven
How joyful it will be!
For on that day at last
My risen Lord I’ll see.
No greater happiness than
to see Him face to face,
To see the love in His eyes
And feel His warm embrace.
Then why should earthly cares
Weigh down upon me so?
They’ll be a distant memory
When home at last I go.

BTW, Lonesome Dove is one of my favorite mini-series! :)
Same here but I’m not in America. However the first person I talked to after the service the assassination attempt was the first thing spoken by that person. So it was on peoples minds for sure.
