German court has ruled that members of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party can be banned from owning firearms, citing the party’s right-wing “extremist” views.
In its July 1 judgment, the 22nd Chamber of the Düsseldorf Administrative Court explained that the AfD members and affiliates engage in “anti-constitutional activities” and are presumed ineligible to own weapons under the country’s strict gun control laws.
The decision, which can be appealed, comes after a married couple, both of whom are AfD members, filed a precedent-setting lawsuit against the revocation of their firearms licenses. The court ruled that the couple fulfilled the criteria of ineligibility and must surrender or destroy all 224 of their firearms. They were also ordered to destroy any other weapons they have, and all of their ammunition.
Germany’s domestic intelligence agency, the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, has formally placed the AfD under suspicion of working to undermine the country’s democracy. That classification was upheld in May by an administrative court, which rejected an AfD lawsuit over the designation.
“Merely membership in a party suspected of anti-constitutional activities regularly leads to the presumption of ineligibility under gun law under the applicable strict standards of gun law, even if the party has not been banned by the Federal Constitutional Court on the grounds of unconstitutionality,” reads an English translation of the Düsseldorf Administrative Court’s decision.

The AfD was founded in 2013 as an alternative to the center-right Christian Democratic Union. Although it has been branded as extremist by mainstream media for its opposition to immigration, Islam, and membership in the European Union, the party has grown in popularity among young voters in recent years.

So only the guys loading you onto the cattle cars are safe to own firearms? I could swear we’ve played this game before.
I used to defend Germany.
It’s getting harder and harder to do so. I think they have an inherent character flaw.

The modern West is all about freedom of opinion and freedom of expression. But only if those beliefs align with those of the elite.
Anyway, I have two questions. 🤔
One, if a person resigns from the AfD, do they get their gun rights back?
And two, are there any restrictions on knives owned by Germany’s stabby Muslims? Because Islam is an extremist organization if I ever saw one.

always kind of wondered what Germanys schools history books looked like, bet they kinda skip over a few chapters...heh. I will say this, gotta admit they had some cool looking uniforms.
Germany has caused a whole lot of problems in the world in just over a century. They are welcome to their own thoughts and policies, but I certainly don’t want them determining anything about my life or the lives of my children.
So they’re applying the same rules that they had for Jews in the 1930s?

The only good news here is it appears they are still afraid of good guys with guns.
With drone tech and AI I have been getting worried about that.
Are they still contemplating a ban on people driving their cars on Sundays? And are they still not allowing pork sausage to be served in their schools, so as not to offend marauding muzzies?

It’s not as if they are being disarmed to they can be safely herded onto the boxcars or anything.
But let’s let 20,000,000 muslims in and have a vibrant democracy!
