Given the Democrats’ past procedural competence, it’s hard to tell if they’ve really gotten themselves in a corner or if they still have several aces up their sleeves.
For the past 3 years, I’ve felt something was amiss with the Democrats and their bench strength. For a team that plays to win, no matter what, they seemed to have burned all their boats without regard to future possibilities. As I wrote in February:
It became apparent three years ago [ed: That is, 2021] that Biden would not be able to run in 2024 due to age-related issues. It was even doubtful that he would finish his one term. The not-so-funny joke is that his protective ace card in the hole was Kamala Harris, who would become the incumbent, which scared many Democrats. To win in 2020, the Democrats had to burn the ships, leaving no credible candidates on the national stage but Biden.
The party placed themselves between a rock and a hard place by going all in on Biden’s presidency, combined with ‘the first black woman’ as V.P. This meant they could not be grooming, developing, and promoting any other future candidates without appearing racist. Doing so would signal that Harris won’t have a future shot, and for Democrats and their base, that would be kryptonite.
Burning all the ships in the 2020 primaries got them a win, an action known as “eating your seed corn.” The short-term benefit comes at an enormous cost.
Democrats knocked off some promising future candidates and, more importantly, failed to set up two or three leaders who could be groomed to run in 2024 and beyond, people who would have the gravitas to win in the future. They avoided this obligation because to do so would have required facing Jill Biden’s wrathful question:...

If they were this incompetent, the first debate would have been scheduled for September, long after they could remove Biden.
They knew what they were doing, but did underestimate how much resistance the Biden clan would put it.
Could that unthinkable nightmare scenario of xiden stepping aside, kameltoe replacing him and naming obozo as the VP, then kameltoe stepping down, resulting in a 3rd obozo term...really happen?
No because Obama can’t be VP because he can’t have a 3rd term. As VP there would be a chance of that.
Because a good candidate + rigging the election =victory! A VERY bad candidate +rigging the election=Chaos and doubt

I've never met a democrat that was competent enough to obtain my loyalty.
Given a few months working with them, they always have a meltdown/ stupid act/ or just don't show up for work.
Democrats cannot operate in a vacuum! They need someone to show off for, someone to belittle, someone to hold their hand 24/7.
They can't correctly figure anything out on their own except to be a dictator- with the ability to blame someone else for all their incompetence.
No, they thought they had the unequivocal backing of the intelligence community - and didn't realize that their patrons might one day decide they could achieve their goals without any particular office-holder or party being involved.

Let’s get started here:
WHAT WAS KNOWN ABOUT BIDEN
1. The DNC and media of course knew his condition
2. The Republicans mostly knew
3. Republican voters somewhat knew (we sure did, but we’re a small minority)
4. Democrat voters were clueless
The key is that the DNC knew. Then they went through a bunch of steps:
1. Lawfare: They knew that if Trump were off the ballot, the Republicans literally had no one waiting - Trump gone, they win, with or without Biden. But the Dems knew by May which way the Supreme Court went (the Dems have ‘sources’ there). So that failed.
2. Getting Biden to Quietly Withdraw: No luck with that, as his bunch in the White House (all female, by the way) feared getting cleaned out by Harris or whoever.
3. So make it Public: They then scheduled the early debate and for whatever reason, Trump took the bait. They figured making it public might be enough to force Biden out. But no luck so far, and this is where they are now. If the debate hadn’t gone forward, getting the word out would have been very difficult, as it would have appeared to most as more of a coup than than something justified.
But, because it’s now public, thanks to the early debate, they can simply change the rules at the convention, and replace Biden - which is what I expect to happen.
