Ellen DeGeneres is ready to walk away from show business.
The comedian, 66, said that she’s “done” with being in the public eye after her Netflix stand-up special comes out later this year.
DeGeneres made the declaration at her comedy show in Santa Rosa, Calif., on July 1. “This is the last time you’re going to see me. After my Netflix special, I’m done,” she said, according to SFGate.

I don’t really care one way or another what Ellen does, but I know most show business hosts find it extremely hard to just walk away from that kind of work, especially, when you have been very successful, and the work revolves around your own personality. Just think of poor Wendy Williams.
IOW... She’ll be back, in one way or another.
Politics can have the same effect on people.
Some of them, simply cannot stay away. Take Hillary for example.
Thank God! 😆
As you know, she's been in that business for years!
I’ll try and contain my disappointment.

She’s a comedian?
Promises, promises.
she’ll be around in other ways, still be ridiculous.
Please, please, please don’t let this be a joke of hers
Dont let the door hit ya in the butt...
“In before Powers Boothe”
YUP!
When you create your job based uoon one topic, and this one was homosexuality, after a certain amount of time, it gets old. She’s been in the business since, roughly, 1989, 35 plus years, and she has been using the same gag all this time. It’s time to go or find another topic to throw at the public. You’re old hat.
