After 3 semesters of French with some VERY forgiving professors who let me survive, I learned about 30-50 French words (maybe a few more), learned what accents were what, could count to 20 AND I could finally understand (and diagram) the refrain from that song. No it didn’t come easy for me. I would have needed immersion.
