Joe Biden continues to climb the ladder to oblivion.
Poll analyst Nate Silver lists the signs that a party is getting rid of a president under the 25th Amendment. He says we’re about halfway up the ladder, which has these at the starting rungs:
- Back-channel conversations - Anon leaks to press - Influential non-electeds and donors saying he should resign - Backbench elected officials saying he should resign - Signals from senior party leaders saying he should resign with plausible deniability - Megadonors saying he should resign and withholding funds - Normie senators or representatives saying he should resign
I’m seeing all this right now, not yet as a march to the 25thAmendment removal from office, but certainly in an effort to get him to withdraw from the 2024 race. The latest such sign is reports that the White House visitor logs show that President Biden’s doctor Kevin O’Connor met with a Parkinson’s disease specialist and a nurse who coordinates Biden’s care nine times since July 2023. (Now, I don’t think it a leap to suggest that sources just whispered to people like Alex Berenson and Jonathan Levine what to look for. Maybe they didn’t. Maybe someone wanted to take hours to pore through the logs, but maybe not.)
There’s plenty of information supporting Silver’s view that we’re halfway up the ladder, and over at the Wall Street Journal, Kim Strassel lists a lot of it.

Texas Rep. Lloyd Doggett on Tuesday became the first elected Congressional Democrat to “respectfully” call on Mr. Biden to withdraw from the race. Maine Democratic Rep. Jared Golden, fighting one of the tightest House races in the country, did the functional equivalent with an op-ed that explained it didn’t matter what Mr. Biden did after his “poor performance”

Who needs a test to see the obvious?
Biden isn’t in control, and never has been. Only in his own mind is he in control.
Many in our country just learned 10 days ago that Biden isn’t in control. Now that the mask is off, some want him to step down. Others are fine with the idea that he’s not in charge.
The fact is nothing has changed. Other foreign leaders all have known that Biden wasn’t calling the shots, that he was merely a front man. This is why Putin invaded Ukraine, Iran/Hamas is at war with Israel, and why everything is topsy turvy all over. Our country is run by the deep state, with Obama and his people running the show.
Biden is CIC in name only, and it’s been this way for every single day of his Presidency.
NO! Such test may force JB to drop out. He is the easiest one to defeat in November, and we must do everything possible to encourage JB to stay in the race.
I am much younger than Biden and I take a cognitive test as part of my annual physical. BTW…so far I’ve passed each year.

Let them fight, let them sink themselves as this devolves into a literal cage fight. I applaud whomever it is advising DJT to stay out of it.
DJT will pick up the pieces in a landslide as normally waffling centrists see the hard left exposed for who they are - ahem - and their desperation for stability pushes them right to vote for DJT.
I assume at least some would fail and I favor a mandatory retirement for judges and elected officials at 75. I would allow for exceptions with some standards like passes a cognitive test by a somehow unbiased assessor and voted an exception by the state congress in the case of judges. Or, allow the judges to continue half caseload until age 80 under those conditions or something.
We all age and we can’t be counted on to realize when we are losing it.
I also favor a physical driving test every two years after age 70.
I remembered all three each time. The way to do it is to start repeating the three in one’s head and keep on with that repetition until the conversation that’s designed to divert you is over and the examiner asks you to repeat the three words. There is also the clock problem where the examiner asks the patient to draw a clock face with the time at 1110. The way to do that is to put in noon at the top and six at the bottom then fill in the three and the nine at the side. From there it becomes pretty easy to draw the hour hand and the minute hand. I am 81, and the mere fact that I am able to come up with this procedure for dealing with those questions does a pretty good job of saying that I’ve still got a lot of cognitive recognition, which is very clear Joe does not have.

It all boils down to the truth - that old cadaver Joe NEVER did run things; he was put in place by an UN-ELECTED bunch - which, by the way is against our Constitution… but, never mind that piddly little detail…

I just saw little adam schiff on Meet the Press.
He called for both candidates to take a test; the liar knows full well that Trump has had two and aced them. Little schiff said Trump’s test would reveal he had some kind of sickness.
The little bastard also referred to Trump as a SOB, live on nationwide TV and the crazy-eyed wild-ass looking host did not protest.
And still there is no Congressman who will walk up to the little worm and bitch-slap him to the floor.
I pointed out the signs of dementia to my leftist BIL 4 years ago and since. He is your average college educated (upper) middle class democrat. Nope, all my fevered right wing imagination. Now he sees this. I don’t talk to him anymore, but I’m rather certain that like most Rat voters he thinks Joe’s condition sprung out of nowhere in the last couple of months.
Biden was dumb before the dementia. His voters have been dumb all along. Like Joe, they are not getting any smarter.
All our enemies know he failed the debate test miserably. We don’t need any other test. Any further pearl clutching is a distraction to keep him in office. The D have no clue where to go with it. They are playing hot potato for ‘24.
I remember that when it happened, but it’s good to watch it again. Biden was so lost, but at least he knew he should try to be relevant. Now he’s just angry that he isn’t. Kamalala-ding-dong, too.
It’s a trap. I would not trust any test results at this point.
Why should he take the test, seriously? Everybody now can see that he has a cognitive problem easily enough. (Turn on YouTube for 1 minute!) People calling for the “test” don’t have the stones to call for him to RESIGN NOW!
