In all seriousness, yes, I am familiar with them and based on what I read of that situation, it's clear that LeatherBoy™ was hiding assets. There are only a few reasons to do that, all of them nefarious.

Muscowy already HAD Crimea and much of the Donbas captured in their 2014 invasion and no one was doing much of anything to help Ukraine. Everyone hoped that the Kremlin would be satisfied.
But 2022 February changed that - Putin will not be sated. he will continue with salami tactics on its neighbors.
The world already wrote off Ukraine in Feb 2022 and it was only in March 2022 when the Ukrainians won the battles of hostomel and Kyiv that the world said “hey, maybe they can hold the Muscowites at bay” and help slowly trickled in, starting in June and only escalating by 2023 when it was clear that Putin’s pride would not consider a draw
